Your content, our policy

Version 1.2, 8 August 2020. Our privacy policy described below is applicable to all website visits, usage of the app, transactions and agreements with Quodari BV, Doeldijk 22A, 3417XD Montfoort, registered under number 75925397 at the Chamber of Commerce.

1. Introduction
Data privacy is the starting point of Quodari. We respect the privacy of the visitors of our website and the users of our app. We look after the confidential treatment of your personal information. How we do this, which data we collect and process and for which purpose is described below.

2. The use of personal data
When using our website www.quodari.com and our app 'Quodari' we obtain certain information of the visitors and users. This information could include personal data. We store and process only those personal data that are directly entered by you in view of the desired service (for example using the contact form or when registering as a user for the app), or when it's clear that the information is provided to us for the necessary processing. We will not use your personal data and content for any other purpose, except when you have given explicit consent or in case we need to do so based on legal requirements or based on an agreement with you (such as a subscription agreement).

3. Purpose of usage
In order to offer the best service to you, in some cases it is needed to store your personal data. We use your personal data for:

  • providing access to certain parts of our website (for which login is required) and our app;
  • the use of functionalities of our website and app;
  • the execution of agreements, transactions and services (such as subscriptions);
  • relationship management, such as contacting you when needed;
  • sending newsletters (or registering that you unsubscribed);
  • getting insight in the use of our website and app;
  • the development of our products and services;
  • the development of our strategy and policy;
  • if needed tracing unlawful behaviour with regard to Quodari, her relations or her employees.

4. Description of the personal data
For the abovementioned purposes we can process - depending on the purpose - the following personal data:

  • name
  • e-mail address (also username)
  • country of residence
  • telephone number (optional) 

In case you have a paid subscription:

  • address
  • payment information

In case of a subscription for a company/organisation:

  • company name and address
  • function within the organization (optional)
  • VAT number (optional)
  • (mobile) phone number

If you are registered as user of Quodari, you can always review the personal information that we have stored.

5. Personal content
All information and content (such as notes, photos, videos and documents) that you store using the Quodari app remains your property. We will not process this information (with the exception of the above mentioned information). The only processing that we do is: a)  Indexing. This enables you (and your connections with whom you have shared your content) to find back your information using the search-functionality; b) calculation of the storage used. 

6. Retention period
We don't keep your personal information longer than required for the purposes described in this privacy and cookie statement, and for complying with legal requirements. The personal content that you store using the Quodari app is stored until you remove this content. If you stop your registration or subescription with Quodari, you get the option to immediately remove all personal content. If not, we keep your content for three months so the content is not lost in case you re-activate your account using the same e-mail address.

7. Confidentiality and provision of data to third parties
We treat your personal data and content confidentially. The personal data and content that we collect through our website or app will not be provided to third parties for direct marketing purposes of those parties. Furthermore, we will not provide the data provided by you to third parties, except if you have given upfront consent, or if it's required for the execution of an agreement between you and us, or if we are obliged to because of legal requirements. 
We don't do 'profiling': composing a profile of you based on your personal information with the purpose to provide advertisements or other types of information not requested by you.

8. Protection of data
Quodari makes use of carefully established procedures for the protection of the processed information. This includes measures to prevent others to obtain unauthorized access this information. We ensure to maximise the automation of transaction processing (such as payments) to avoid the unnecessary access to your data by our employees. Furthermore we ensure that only the necessary persons have access to your personal data and that the access to your data is protected. In any case we make use of TLS connections when accessing your data.

9. Cookies

9.1 The use of cookies
On our website and in our Quodari app we make use of cookies to ensure the proper functioning of the website and the app. Cookies will not be used for any commercialisation of the data of users. Cookies are small information files that can be automatically stored on (and retrieved from) your device (including a PC, tablet and smartphone) upon the visit of a website or the use of the app. This happens through the webbrowser on the device. The information that is obtained by the cookie about the usage of the webiste or app can be transferred to the secured servers of Quodari.

On our webstie and in the Quodari app we only use cookies for the following purposes: 

  • to enable certain functionalities of the website or app;
  • to protect the website, the app or your data and content (technical or functional cookies);
  • to analyze the usage of the website and the app with the purpose to improve the website and the app (analytical cookies);
  • to enable sharing of our website or content in our app through social media (social media cookies).

9.2 Categories of cookies

Technical or functional cookies
The main purpose of these cookies is to save you time and effort. For example: if you provide adjust a webpage according to your personal preferences or if you navigate within the website, these settings are remembered by the cookies for future use (such as the chosen language in which the website is presented). When you visit the website at a later stage, the provided data (stored in the cookies) can be retrieved, so you can simply use the possibilities of the website or app as you have customised those earlier.

Analytical cookies
On our website and within our app cookies are used for statistics. This provides us with insights in the usage of our website and app. For all analysis, the data is made anonymous and we don't use third parties such as Google Analytics.

Advertisement cookies
We don't use cookies for advertisements or other commercial purposes.

Social media cookies
In order to allow you to share information from this website (or from the app) using miscellaneous social media channels, we make use of social media cookies. These cookies will only be stored if you explicitly chose to share content using one of the supported social platforms. We are not using those cookies for profiling, analytics or commercial purposes.

9.3 Enabling or disabling of cookies

This means that they are automatically expired after a certain period: old cookie content is not used anymore within the website or app. You can also choose to remove the cookie content manually before the expiration date. In case you have questions or if you want to know which personal data we stored of you, you can always contact us. This can be done by contacting us through the contact page on our website.

You have the following rights:

  • getting insight in the precise personal data that we stored of you;
  • getting mistakes in your personal data rectified;
  • having outdated personal data removed (or corrected);
  • withdraw a specific consent (for storage or processing of personal data);
  • raising a complaint for a specific processing of your personal data;
  • data portability: obtain your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Please clearly indicate who you are (name and e-mail address) so we are sure not to provide, rectify or remove information from the wrong person.
Before we execute any change or removal, we always contact you first for verification. You have the right to review the personal information we keep of you. A request for review, rectification or removal can be sent to us through the contact page on our website. We will react to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

11. Changes in this privacy and cookie statement
We might change this privacy and cookie statement. Changes will be published on our website. It is recommended to regularly review this statement so you are informed about the changes. Important changes that apply to the usage of our app will be communicated explicitly to the user within the app.
